Robert W. Wilson Overlook at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden

New York, New York / USA

Architects: Weiss/Manfredi

The Robert W. Wilson Overlook consists of a beautiful switchback path and retaining walls that offer stunning views of the Cherry Esplanade and surrounding Gardens of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The lighting design extends its story: how the warmth of the sun and comfort of the moon give this overlook its shape. Light is carefully positioned to softly glow through the surrounding trees, filtered by leaves to produce the same effect as a full moon. As the spring weather blooms in New York City, thousands of visitors will stroll these paths and participate in a beautiful story of light.
