Cafesjian Center for the Arts
Yerevan, Armenia

When completed in 2009, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts will be the most significant building constructed in Armenia since the Republic achieved independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Located at the head of a major urban axis, the
Museum site commands sweeping views across the capital city of Yerevan to Mount Ararat - the immemorial symbol of Armenia - which rises above the southern horizon.

The Cafesjian Center will serve as a national center for artistic expression. Its primary focus on the visual arts will be
international in scope as it creates a multi-faceted approach to the exhibition, collection, and interpretation of art.
