To ensure the long-term durability of lighting, we plan for its successful execution, performance, and maintenance. A clear understanding of construction sequencing and trade package coordination informs our design of integrated, installation-friendly solutions. We test our work through detailed lighting calculations, 3D models, and scale prototypes. Our pioneering cost-tracking system establishes lighting hardware costs and defends against contractor substitutions – protecting client budgets and design integrity.

As a member of the US Green Building Council, OVI takes a multi-disciplinary approach to sustainability. Our principals recognize and promote conceptual architectural opportunities to incorporate daylight. We specify low-energy light sources that do not compromise aesthetics, and design-engineer layouts to maximize their efficiency. Our solutions use quality materials and prioritize ease of maintenance, ensuring they will endure over time.

Active in the broader professional sphere, OVI principals Jean Sundin and Enrique Peiniger take leading roles in Global and North American lighting organizations, and have taught advanced lighting studios at Parsons School of Design.
